Ion exchange water treatment for eliminating the formation and deposition of limescale. Installation on the water supply system in the household will ensure a significant extension of the lifespan of installed devices (e.g. heating systems, boilers, faucets, washing machines, dishwashers). It offers an ecological, maintenance-free solution without the need for chemicals and electrical energy. Max. operating pressure 10 bar, connection ½“, ¾“ or 1“.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Protection against limescale Extending appliance lifespan Reduction in energy consumption Environmentally friendly Easy installation and maintenance

ARAGO home is an ion system for treating source water that prevents the formation of calcium deposits and corrosion. It is primarily designed for installation on water distribution systems in family homes, apartments, or cottages. Thanks to its action, it significantly extends the lifespan of household appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, water heaters), faucets, heat exchangers, and other installed devices.

The ARAGO ion treatment system represents a modern, ecological, and maintenance-free water treatment solution, which does not require the use of electric energy or chemical substances. Thus, it contributes to reducing operating and maintenance costs. The device provides reliable protection against limescale for 6 to 8 years, depending on water quality, composition, and flow rate.

Zinc ions released by the ARAGO device cause a permanent change in the structure of the bicarbonate minerals contained in the water, preventing their settling. The treated minerals are subsequently gradually flushed from the water supply system. This treatment method preserves not only all important minerals in the water but also its original taste and aroma.

The product is made from the highest quality materials, which are hygienically safe and designed for contact with drinking water. It complies with the requirements of Regulation 409/2005 Coll. on hygiene requirements for products that come into contact with drinking water.

How does the ARAGO system work?

Water hardness is primarily caused by the presence of dissolved calcium bicarbonate (CaHCO₃). When the water is heated, this bicarbonate transforms into insoluble calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). The subsequent precipitation of carbonate and its deposits on the surface of heat exchangers, heating elements, or pipes leads to the formation of "hard limescale." This limescale is a form of calcium carbonate known as calcite.

The ARAGO device utilizes a natural electrochemical process, during which zinc ions are released into the water. These ions cause calcium carbonate to crystallize not as hard calcite, but in the form of aragonite, which is non-sticky and easily removable. Although calcite and aragonite are chemically identical (both are forms of calcium carbonate), they differ in their structure and physical properties.

If a small amount of aragonite does settle, such as in low-flow devices like electric kettles, it can be easily removed by wiping. The change in the structure of calcite and aragonite is permanent.

Installation

The device is intended for installation at the water entrance into the building (in water distribution systems), either in a horizontal or vertical position.

It is necessary to adhere to the working pressure, flow rate, and temperature that do not exceed the technical parameters of the product.

Lifespan

The ARAGO home system has a lifespan of 6 to 8 years, depending on the chemical composition and volume flow of the source water. A sign of the device malfunctioning is the reappearance of hard limescale. If the device is installed together with a mechanical impurities filter, it is recommended to regularly clean the filter screen from accumulated dirt.

Advantages of the ARAGO system:
  • Protection against limescale - changes the structure of calcium carbonate, thereby preventing the formation and settling of hard limescale.

  • Extending appliance lifespanreduces limescale buildup, thereby extending the lifespan of appliances and reducing the need for maintenance or repairs.

  • Reduction in energy consumption - does not require a power source and maintains the efficiency of heating coils and heat exchangers.

  • Environmentally friendly - does not use chemicals, preserves healthy minerals in the water and reduces the need for detergents.

  • Easy installation and maintenance - Installation is quick, universal, and suitable for all types of piping with minimal maintenance requirements.
