Product detailed description
Carbon filters OP Carbon are automatic devices that effectively remove chlorine, traces of heavy metals and organic substances, pesticides, as well as unwanted odors and tastes from water.
The filling for these carbon filters uses granular activated carbon (GAC). In this case, it is the AquaSorb 2000, which is produced by steam activation of hard coal. This type of carbon is designed for contact with water used for drinking purposes. In addition to the filter filling, the filters contain a gravel bed (the bottom layer of gravel is approx. 8 cm).
The operation of the filter is ensured by the control unit Autotrol 263/740F. It is also used to initiate backwashing. This is performed to remove accumulated mechanical particles and to restore the adsorption capacity of the filter filling. The control unit operates on the principle of timed control, which can be set using a computer, where the start time for backwashing, its duration, and the pause between individual backwashes (0.5 to 99 days) are adjusted.
The individual variants of carbon filters OP Carbon differ only in their dimensions, capacity of the filter filling, and maximum flow rates. The principle of operation is the same for all variants.
Before the carbon filter, we always recommend installing a mechanical filter with about 20-70 microns. For example, a mechanical washable water filter PX 50.

Installation and service of the equipment
Installation and transport will be provided by our own service technicians (we have 14 authorized service technicians throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia). If you are interested, we will be happy to create a price quote for you. The installation price depends on the difficulty and the materials used (connecting hoses, valves, etc.). If you are interested in installation, please let us know in the comments section of the cart ("Add a note for the seller").
We recommend performing service exchanges regularly once a year. The cost of a service exchange is 1,990 CZK + travel expenses, which is charged a flat rate of 590 CZK (990 CZK for Prague and Brno) in cases where the technician's trip is combined with other installations or services on the way.
