Dropson EMI is an innovative maintenance-free device for eliminating limescale formation with high efficiency, utilizing electromagnetic impulse fields. It is made of stainless steel.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Dropson EMI is an innovative water treatment against limescale that utilizes electromagnetic pulses. This patented technology ensures high efficacy against the deposition of limescale, primarily due to the calibrated chamber for optimal water flow ratio considering the input hardness. The water is treated in a turbulent environment generated by the whirling in the chamber. The use of quality materials prevents the dampening of magnetic effects.

For preventive water softening

The swirling chamber changes laminar water flow (1) into turbulent flow (2). The electric module (3) controls the magnetic pulse generators (4). These pulses at a specific frequency enter directly into the turbulent water flow (5). The effect of the magnetic pulses and the kinetic energy from the flow cause crystallization between calcium and carbonate ions. These resulting microcrystals cannot settle. They do not settle on any surface as they are already crystallized. They flow through the fittings without settling. (6)

The product is certified and designed for contact with drinking water.

Cleaning effect

The electromagnetic pulses disrupt the equilibrium of calcium carbonate in water according to the following equation: Ca(HCO3)2 > CaCO3 + H2CO3

In simple terms - during each crystallization of calcium carbonate, a carbon dioxide molecule is created, which is simultaneously capable of gradually dissolving limescale deposits from the pipes.

Action time

The structure of the crystals created by the magnetic field effects is stable for a limited time. Scientific studies indicate that the crystals break down after 12 days. In practice, this time is approximately 100 hours or 4 days. It is therefore recommended that the device be sized so that at least 60% of the treated water is consumed within 24–48 hours. In other cases, it is advisable to install a recirculation circuit for the treated water.

For the best results, it is important not to exceed the required flow rates. If you need help selecting the right device, please contact us, we will be happy to assist you.

We recommend installing a filter PX 60 for mechanical impurities
