It is used for brackish water treatment in low-pressure systems. Due to its large active surface area and high dirt removal rate, it offers consistent permeate quality (pure water) even under varying pressure and flow conditions. This membrane element features a spiral-wound design made of thin-film polyamide composite, ensuring high efficiency and long service life.
ELP-4040 membranes have a permeate flow of 42.0 m³/day, with a salt rejection rate of 99.2%. The membrane is suitable for operation over a wide pH range (2-11) and the maximum operating temperature is 45 °C. It is crucial to follow the procedures for system startup to ensure the proper functionality and lifespan of the membrane. It is strongly recommended to keep the membrane moist at all times and to preserve it in a protective solution during longer breaks to prevent biofouling.
