Product detailed description
KING LIGHT UV lamps are designed to remove bacteria, cysts, and viruses from water using UV radiation. This disinfection method is suitable for family homes, chalets, laboratories, restaurants, hospitals, and also in industry.
The UV lamp can be installed both horizontally and vertically.
How the UV lamp works
Water flows into a stainless-steel tube (UV reactor) and then passes inside the tube around a powerful UV lamp, which is located inside a waterproof quartz tube. Ultraviolet radiation at a wavelength of 253.7 nm kills bacteria and viruses, damaging their DNA molecular structure and thereby preventing them from reproducing. At the same time, it does not alter the chemical composition of the water and does not create by-products. Ultraviolet radiation is completely harmless, eco-friendly, easy, inexpensive, and the most modern method of disinfection.
For the UV lamp to fulfill its purpose, it is necessary for it to operate for at least 10-15 minutes, during which the necessary light frequency spectrum is created to eliminate viruses and bacteria. If the UV lamp does not shine for more than 4 hours, bacteria begin to form colonies and gradually start to grow further along the pipes. For these reasons, it is essential that the UV lamp remains on. In case the water is unused for more than 2 days (for example, due to going on vacation), it is recommended to turn off the UV lamp. Before using the water, turn on the UV lamp, wait 15 minutes, and then let out enough water for new water to pass through the UV lamp.
Health safety is paramount. Therefore, water disinfection is crucial for health – for example, just one colony of Escherichia Coli bacteria is enough to cause illness.
That is why KING LIGHT UV lamps, thanks to their high disinfection efficiency, guarantee absolute certainty based on 90 years of experience.
Replacement of UV lamp
The lifespan of a UV lamp under continuous operation is one year, after which the UV lamp must be replaced even if it is still glowing, because after a year, the lamp is used up and ineffective (different frequency spectrum).
Never handle the UV lamp with bare hands; always use, for example, a dry paper towel. Handling with bare hands significantly reduces the lifespan of the lamp.
For convenient replacement of the UV lamp, a space at least the length of the UV lamp in the direction of removing the UV lamp is required. To remove the quartz tube, it is necessary to loosen the nut on the opposite end from the trafo connection. Therefore, it should be easily accessible.

Input water requirements:
- Iron – max. 0.3 mg/l
- Manganese – max. 0.05 mg/l
- Water hardness – max. 2.5 mmol/l
- Mechanical pre-filtration is required.
What you should know
Please note that for the proper functioning of the UV lamp, mechanical pre-filtration of the water is necessary. Typically, we use mechanical filters from our offer. We recommend the pre-filter PX 50 or PX 80.
For connecting the UV lamp, we recommend using surge protection UV Protect S PO20 in the socket before the transformer. This will protect both the UV lamp and the transformer from surges caused, for example, by electrical shocks or storms.
For the proper functioning of the device, we recommend installation by our authorized service throughout the Czech Republic. The installation price depends on the complexity of the installation and the materials used.
